NY converts pay phone areas into WiFi hot spots

The New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications have announced Thursday that they have converted 10 public pay phones into free WiFi hot spots as part of a pilot program to determine if it is possible to expand all city pay phones into a city-wide WiFi network.
