LPA near Visayas as of 9:00am, Sept 7

A low pressure are (LPA) has just entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) just east of Visayas. Although it is not visible in this satellite image, it is pushing rain clouds ahead of itself toward the country. The LPA is expected to make landfall late Friday at the earliest. Weather Central
