DFA: Korean authorities identify suspect in death of OFW found in septic tank

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday said a former overseas Filipino worker is now being hunted down for the killing of a fellow Filipino, whose remains have been found in a septic tank in South Korea.

The DFA said the slain Filipino, whose skeletal remains were found in a septic tank in a factory in South Korea last April, was reported missing two years ago.

It said that South Korean authorities have identified the Filipino worker allegedly responsible for the death of the victim.

It said South Korean authorities have requested the Philippine National Police and the Interpol to hunt down the suspect.

The slain Filipino arrived in South Korea in 2016 and worked at the factory where his remains were found.

The DFA has yet to release the identity of the victim and the suspect.

It said the victim was positively identified through DNA testing. —ALG, GMA News
