Pinay household worker found dead hanging in her room in Bahrain

A Filipina household service worker was found dead hanging in her room in Bahrain, Philippine foreign officials in the Arabian Gulf nation said Saturday.

Citing initial information from the Department of Foreign Affairs, a Super Radyo dzBB report said the 37-year-old victim, whose name has been withheld, was found hanging by rope in an apparent suicide case.

Philippine foreign authorities in Bahrain are now trying to contact the victim's family in Quezon province.

Also, DFA officials said they are verifying the incident while preparing for the repatriation of the remains of the Filipino worker. —LBG, GMA News
