Actress aunt of slain Fil-Am student mourns her death

Actress Tamera Mowry took to Instagram to express her grief over the killing of 18-year-old Alaina Punzalan Housley, one of the 12 people killed in the recent mass shooting incident in the United States.

"My heart breaks. I'm still in disbelief. It’s not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us," Mowry said in the caption of a photo showing a smiling Alaina.

"I was blessed to know you ever since you were 5. You stole my heart. I will miss our inside jokes, us serenading at the piano."

Housley was described as a "Straight A" student who had dreams of studying law by her grandfather, Ernie Punzalan, who is from Bataan in the Philippines.

"Thank you for being patient with me learning how to braid your hair, and I will never forget our duet singing the national anthem at Napa’s soccer game. I love you. I love you. I love you. You are gonna make one gorgeous angel. My heart and prayers are with every victim of this tragedy," Mowry said.

Housley and 11 others, including a sheriff's deputy, were killed when a gunman opened fire at the crowded Borderline Bar and Grill, located in Thousand Oaks, California, on Thursday.

The gunman, identified by authorities as Ian David Long, 28, a former Marine, was found dead in bar's office. —KBK, GMA News
