Fil-Am wins 'So You Think You Can Dance'

Filipina-American contemporary dancer Hannahlei Cabanilla has won Season 15 of US dance show "So You Think You Can Dance."

Cabanilla, 18, edged out 20-year-old Latin ballroom specialist Jensen Arnold, according to Mercury News.

"It's starting to feel real that my dreams are coming true," Cabanilla said. "It's just amazing 'cause I still look up to the people on 'So You Think You Can Dance' and now I'm one of them."

The Mercury News report said Cabanilla began dancing at the age of 2 and trained at the Orange County Performing Arts Academy.

Cabanilla's performance was highly rated by all, especially by actress Vanessa Hudgens, who called the 18-year-old dancer a "fierce warrior princess."

Hudgens had once described Cabanilla as "fellow Filipina." —KBK, GMA News
