Dress properly, don't litter, and refrain from pushing and shoving at events with Pope Francis during his Philippine visit in January.

These were among the "gentle reminders" the papal visit's organizers included in a video posted Wednesday on YouTube.

"Ipakita natin na tayo ay may disiplina, magalang, masayahin, matulungin, at higit sa lahat, may malasakit sa isa't isa," said Boots Anson-Rodrigo, one of the public figures featured in the video.

Among the reminders are:

  • Actively take part in Masses by singing and answering
  • Help maintain peace and order during Masses.
  • Heed authorities' instructions on peace, order, security and public health. Be aware of the location of first-aid stations and portalets.
  • Keep the venues clean, and do not litter. This will help those cleaning up the venue after the event.
  • Follow traffic rules near venues, and keep in mind only those with car passes can go to dropoff points.
  • Wear proper attire. No sandos, sleeveless outfits, or clothing that bare midriffs, or miniskirts.
  • Watch children at all times.
  • Help the elderly and people with disabilities.
  • Do not push in a crowd

Other public figures who gave the gentle reminders in the video included Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo, Chris Tiu, Enchong Dee, and Carla Abellana.

Pope Francis is due to arrive in the Philippines on Jan. 15. He will take part in activities in Manila and Leyte and leave on Jan. 19.  Joel Locsin/RSJ, GMA News
