Head-on collision of two buses snarls traffic in Alaminos, Laguna

Traffic at a major road in Alaminos town in Laguna province was snarled after the head-on collision between two buses on Wednesday morning.   Alaminos police chief Senior Inspector Mederic Villarete said the incident occurred at San Agustin villages, with an undetermined number of passengers hurt.   "Initial information namin, so far walang casualty pero may minor injuries nadala sa ospital," he said in an interview over radio dzBB.   He said they are still verifying reports that one of the drivers may have died in the incident.   For now, he said police have set up an alternate route for motorists to pass through following the accident.   Villarete also said they are still investigating on who was at fault.   "Nag-cause sila ng heavy trafic talaga, (nag-setup tayo ng) alternate route sa San Pablo," he said. - VVP, GMA News
