Ang Manila Metropolitan Theater (MET) ay isa sa pinakatanyag na istruktura sa lungsod ng Maynila noong mga panahong and syudad ay tinagurian pang “Milan of Asia”. Ang teatrong ito ay minsan ding naging tahanan ng mga opera, vaudeville, zarzuela, the Manila Symphony, at ang kanlungan ng sining at kultura sa bansa.
 
Ngunit sa unti unting pagkalugmok ng Maynila ay siya ring pagkasira ng MET. Ibat ibang uri ng paninira at basura ang nakakalat sa gusaling art deco. Tila nabubulok na ang buong struktura.
 
Bumuhos ang mga tulong para ayusin ang teatro pero hindi ito naging sapat para maibalik ang dati nitong katanyagan.
 
Ngayon nakatayo pa rin ang gusali sa gitna ng magugulong kahabaan ng Quiapo at Roxas Boulevard.

Pero may mga kuwentong kababalaghan tungkol sa lugar. May mga nagsasabing nakakakita at nakaririnig sila sa tuwing pumapasok sa teatro.
 
Ito nga ba ang mga di mapayapang kaluluwa mula sa nakaraan na nagpaparamdam sa buong gusali ? O mga ligaw na kaluluwang naninirahan dito?
 
Samahan ang Jay Taruc team sa pagtuklas ng natatagong misteryo sa loob ng Metropolitan Theater sa July 15 sa I-Witness.

The Manila Metropolitan Theater (MET) has been one of the famous landmarks in Manila in an era where the city was still considered as the “Milan of Asia.” The theater was once the home of operas, vaudevilles, zarzuelas, the Manila Symphony, and the haven for the culture and the arts.
 
But as Manila deteriorated so was the MET. Vandalisms and trash now smear the art deco style of the buildings. The whole structure literally fell into decay.
 
Help poured in to restore the theater but not enough to bring back its old glory.
 
At present, the structure sits silently along the busy streets of Quiapo and Roxas Boulevard.
 
But another tale of the unknown seems to pervade the area. Stories of unexplained phenomenon pass from one person to another. People who have toured the theater experienced strange sights and sounds.
 
Could it be that restless souls of the past hound the structure for some significant reasons? Or are they just transient ghosts which settled inside the abandoned building?
