KANDIDATO 2013: SENADOR airs this Thursday on GMA-7

 

Though it has its unique privileges and responsibilities, being a Senator may be just like any other job. This May, twelve vacancies for senator must be filled up. There are thirty-three candidates vying for a seat in the Senate. Get to know each one of them more thoroughly in GMA News and Public Affairs’ KANDIDATO 2013: SENADOR airing this Thursday, February 21.

 

KANDIDATO 2013: SENADOR presents the aspiring senators to the public as applicants in a job interview. How much of one’s personal history should matter professionally? What would one’s past works mean to his or her legislative agenda? These and more are the questions to be asked in the program.

 

Hosted by veteran broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio, KANDIDATO 2013: SENADOR also features GMA News Online Editor-in-Chief Howie Severino and  Malou Mangahas of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism as panelists. The three will grill each candidate based on their credentials and track record.

 

First aired three years ago, KANDIDATO then examined the 2010 presidential hopefuls. Also hosted by Clavio, Severino and Mangahas, KANDIDATO bagged awards for Best Talk Show from the Catholic Mass Media Awards and the UPLB Gandingan Awards for that year.

 

This year, KANDIDATO 2013: SENADOR will air every Thursday night after Saksi on GMA starting February 21.
