Sentisabado not just about Twitter, says creator

GMANews.TV caught up today with blogger and social media pundit Tonyo Cruz —the creator of the now hugely popular #sentisabado Twitter meme— and got to ask him about his views on childhood, life, and the future of social media in a Pinoy context. We reported last week that what started as just a whim for Cruz and his friends quickly went viral and is now being followed by Filipinos worldwide. According to Cruz, the September 4 run alone of #sentisabado drew as many as 88,000 tweets from Filipinos across the globe. A longtime social media advocate, Cruz has been eager to see Filipinos adapt Twitter and other social media to our own culture.
