Acer takes wraps off Aspire E1 notebook


To give road warriors an affordable and reliable choice, PC maker Acer has introduced in the country the Aspire E1 Series.

The Aspire E1 notebook, which is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor, is available on Linux operating system for P22,400 and Windows (Home Business version) for P24,900.



The unit has the Acer clear.fi, which automatically shares videos, music and photos among various devices and cloud services.

The Aspire E1′s CineCrystal HD LED-backlit display is perfect for media files, which can also transmitted to big-screen HDTV via HDMI. An optical drive can also spin music and movies on DVD.

User can chat with the Acer Crystal Eye HD webcam and integrated microphone. Aside from Wi-Fi, they can also use Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

A multi-in-1 card reader shares files with other devices, and a multi-gesture touchpad puts user in control. The Acer Backup Manager, meanwhile, gives peace of mind with its backup and restore functions.
