Durex 'funderpants' let you cuddle via remote control

Maintaining a relationship even though a lover is miles away may now be a bit easier with this pair of magic lingerie and underpants.

The underpants, dubbed Fundaware, uses tiny vibrating motors sewn into lingerie and underpants, and controlled by a smartphone app.

“Fundaware is a clever combination of a smartphone app and tiny vibrating motors sewn into female lingerie and male underpants. It accomplishes the task of ‘transferring touch across vast distances,’ said the project’s technical director, Ben Moir in a YouTube video,” tech site Mashable reported.

But Mashable said the project is still in its early experimental stages.

Commissioned by the Australian division of condom company Durex, Fundaware uses small vibrating actuators similar to those that give a finger a buzzing haptic feedback on smartphones, it said.

Its vibrations depend on the movements of the person’s finger touching the smartphone screen.

For now, the company is inviting test subjects to test the underwear and telling it how they would use the product. — TJD, GMA News
