Hot anime 'Attack on Titan' gets 3D game mod

It may not have an official game yet, but hot new anime "Attack on Titan" (Shingeki no Kyojin) is getting the next best tribute from its fans: a 3D game mod.

Second Life builder Moeka Kohime created the mod for the "Second Life" game, including a moddable uniform and the 3D Maneuver Gear used by the anime's characters.

"The uniform is lovely, but check out the detail on the Gear," said Kotaku.com, which added the gear is "all there and all functional."

A separate article on CapsuleComputers.com said Moeka even created an "Attack On Titan"-style map to zip around town - and a killable enemy as well.

For now, it said the killable enemy is the “decoy Titans” that the Military from the series uses to train.

"Players can buy the gear in-game from Moeka Kohime’s Edelweiss store or try a demo for free just to see if it’s worth putting in the money," it said.

Meanwhile, GameSkinny.com said the games mechanics can be "a little touchy at times," but the details in creating the anime-inspired mod are "outstanding and stay true to the actual series."

"Some fun extra features include an option to do the Corps salute, uniform customization (which includes the ability to change the jacket emblem to represent either the anime's Military Police, Scouting Legion, or Stationary Guard), and 'the jump' (fans of the series will know what this means without explanation)," it added. —TJD, GMA News
