Fearful of spyplanes? Pick up the Drone Survival Guide

Do you feel threatened by remote-controlled planes because you're not sure if they are spying on you or about to blow you to smithereens? Fear not, this guide is for you.

The new Drone Survival Guide discovered by Sobchak security contains profiles of various drones, and "tactics" to thwart them, Gizmodo reported.

"As robotic birds will become commonplace in the near future, we should be prepared to identify them. This survival guide is an attempt to familiarze ourselves and future generations, with a changing technological environment," it said.

Gizmodo said drones today can be used for various functions, ranging from "surveillance and deadly force" to rescue operations and scientific research. Aside from English, the guide is also available in Pashto, Arabic, German, Italian, Dutch, and Indonesian.

It added the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had predicted in 2012 that there could be as many as 30.000 drones flying over US soil alone, within 20 years.

The survival guide contains drawings of drone species and can be printed, though other users may order a folded offset print on Chromolux ALU-E mirrored paper.

Meanwhile, Gizmodo said the guide also has extensive information including "tactics for hiding from drones and interfering with the drones' sensors, collected from various online sources." —KDM, GMA News
