‘The King of Fighters XIV’ pre-order details released

PlayStation 4 exclusive “The King of Fighters XIV” is now available for pre-order, Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) just announced. The game will be sold in stores starting August 23, 2016. 

The latest installment of the franchise, which was born in 1994, has been turning heads with its visuals. “The King of Fighters XIV” is rendered entirely in beautiful 3D, a first in the main numbered series.

Despite this move away from 2D sprites, the game retains the furious 2D gameplay and 3-on-3 battle system that have become the series’ hallmarks. In addition, “The King of Fighters XIV” boasts a gigantic roster of 50 fighters, which includes beloved favorites such as Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard, Iori Yagami, Kula Diamond, and the highly sought-after Mai Shiranui.

The game also features a variety of new online multiplayer modes, including one called Party Battle.

Pre-order bonuses

Pre-ordering “The King of Fighters XIV” allows the customer to avail of a number of bonuses.

The first is an attractive and sturdy steelbook case, which is used to store the game disc.

The second is an art book showcasing artwork from “The King of Fighters XIV,” including character and set illustrations.

Those who pre-order the game will also receive the Classic Kyo DLC costume for series hero, Kyo Kusanagi.

Lastly, a Mai Shiranui “The King of Fighters XIV” PlayStation 4 Theme, illustrated by the famous artist FALCOON, will be available to those who pre-order.

“The King of Fighters XIV” will cost P2,899 when it is released for the PlayStation 4 this August. — AT, GMA News
