Moderate to heavy rain expected over north Luzon areas – PAGASA

PAGASA warned in a Sunday morning forecast that northern Luzon would be under the influence of a frontal system, and moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms were thus expected over the Batanes province and the Ilocos and Cordillera Regions.

These downpours may, in turn, cause flashfloods and landslides over affected areas.

Central Luzon and the rest of the Cagayan Valley Region will also be cloudy with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, but this time due to the southwest monsoon.

The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy accompanied with rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest to south over Luzon, and from the southeast to south over the Visayas and Mindanao.

Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. — DVM, GMA News
