Maring slightly intensifies, continues to move to western boundary of PAR

Tropical Storm Maring (international name Doksuri) has slightly intensified as it continued to move toward the western boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday.

PAGASA said that as of 10 a.m., Maring's center was estimated at 370 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.

Maring has maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center which can gust up to 105 kph.

It is forecasted to move West Northwest with a speed of 18 kph.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are expected within the 350-km diameter of Maring.

PAGASA warned that sea travel remains to be risky in the western seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon.
