Deadly Urduja now out of PAR —PAGASA

Tropical Depression Urduja is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday morning.

PAGASA said that as of 10 a.m., Urduja's center was estimated at 430 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan or out of PAR.

Urduja was packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 60 kph.

It was west southwest at 18 kph.

Tropical warning signals have been lifted, but PAGASA said sea travel over the western seaboard of Palawan is still risky.

Urduja left more than 40 people dead, dozens missing and more than 90,000 displaced, mostly in Eastern Visayas.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said the low pressure area (LPA) east of Mindanao is expected to enter the PAR on Wednesday.

As of 8 a.m., the LPA was estimated at 1,710 kilometers east of Mindanao.

It will be named Vinta if it intensify into a cyclone inside the PAR. —ALG, GMA News
