Scattered rain expected over the Visayas, Mindanao, east Luzon

The Visayas, Bicol Region, and Quezon province would be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front, weather service PAGASA reported in a Sunday forecast.

Mindanao would also experience cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, but this time due to the easterlies.

The northeast monsoon would meanwhile bring cloudy conditions with scattered rain over the Cordillera Administrative and Cagayan Valley Regions, as well as over Aurora; and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions and isolated rain over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the rest of the Central Luzon and Calabarzon Regions.

The Mimaropa Region would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers.

PAGASA meanwhile warned that winds would be from strong to gale-force over Luzon and the Eastern Visayas, where coastal waters would be rough to very rough.

Over the rest of the Visayas, winds would be moderate to strong from the northeast with moderate to rough seas.

Finally, winds over Mindanao would be moderate to strong from the east to northeast, while coastal waters would be from moderate to rough. — DVM, GMA News
