Metro Manila now under Yellow Warning level alert


The Orange Warning level was raised in the provinces of Batangas and Cavite by the PAGASA early Thursday morning.

The state weather bureau warns residents of the threat of flooding in the affected areas as the southwest monsoon continues to affect the National Capital Region.

The warning level in Metro Manila, meanwhile, was changed to Yellow Warning.

The other areas under the  Yellow Warning alert are Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Laguna, and Rizal where flooding is possible in low lying areas.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will be affecting the provinces of Zambales, Nueva Acija, Northern Quezon which may persist for three hours.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 5 a.m. on Thursday. — BAP, GMA News
