Easterlies to bring rains over Bicol, Eastern Visayas —PAGASA

Easterlies are expected to continue affecting the weather in the Philippines on Friday, according to PAGASA's 24-hour weather forecast issued Thursday afternoon.

Easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, are expected to bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to the Bicol region and Eastern Visayas.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, could experience isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA also warned that Northern Luzon could experience occasionally strong winds.

Nevertheless, a weather update by GMA News' resident meteorologist Nathaniel Cruz later in the evening said warm weather can be expected over most parts of the country. — Margaret Claire Layug/ LDF, GMA News
