Northeasterly surface wind to affect Northern Luzon

Winds coming from the northeast will be affecting the weather in Northern Luzon on Friday, according to PAGASA's afternoon forecast.

In particular, the northeasterly surface windflow is expected to bring isolated rains over Batanes and the Babuyan group of islands.

Eastern Visayas and Caraga may, meanwhile, experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

The rest of the country can still expect isolated rain showers brought about by localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA also warned that the coastal water condition in northern Luzon will be moderate to occasionally strong, whereas it will be light to moderate for the rest of the country. — Margaret Claire Layug/ LDF, GMA News
