LPA spotted near Palawan


A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 370 kilometers southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Palawan, Visayas, northern Mindanao, CARAGA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulun, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rians and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flooding and landslides.

Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms. The state weather bureau warned against flooding and landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition in Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough and slight to moderate for the rest of the country. — BAP, GMA News
