LPA to bring rains over Palawan and Eastern Visayas

Rains and thunderstorms are expected over Palawan and Eastern Visayas due to the low-pressure area near Puerto Princesa City.

In its latest advisory, state weather agency PAGASA  said moderate to occasional heavy rains are expected over Palawan, and light to moderate rains and thunderstorms are forecast over Eastern Visayas.

As of Thursday morning, the LPA was spotted at 360 kilometers west-southwest of Puerto Princesa City. 

Residents living near rivers, low-lying areas, and in mountainous areas are advised to take appropriate action  against possible flooding and landslides.

They are also advised to coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices and continue monitoring weather updates. —Joviland Rita/LBG, GMA News
