MMDA issues traffic advisory for DPWH road reblocking, repairs this weekend


The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) issued a traffic advisory on Friday for the road reblocking and repair works of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Pasig, Taguig, and Quezon City.

The MMDA said the DPWH will undertake the rehabilitation works from 11 p.m. of November 2, Friday, until 5 a.m. of November 5, Monday.

The following roads are included in the MMDA list:

Southbound:

  • C-5 Road after Lanuza Avenue
  • C-5 Road near SM Aura (2nd outermost lane)
  • EDSA Scout Albano – after Scout Borromeo (3rd lane from sidewalk)

Northbound:

  • EDSA before Oliveros Footbridge – before Globe Master 2nd lane before Times Street, before UCCP 1st lane

Proposed restoration/concreting works:

  • Roosevelt Avenue (Northbound) corner Baler Street (1st lane from sidewalk)
  • West Avenue (Southbound) Baler Street to Examiner Street (1st lane from sidewalk)
  • Visayas Avenue (Northbound) Road 1 intersection (half of 2nd to 3rd lane from sidewalk)
  • Commonwealth Avenue near Pedestrian footbridge and near Jocfer Bldg. and along Commonwealth near N. Zuzuaregui Street

Motorists have been advised to take alternate routes while the road reblocking and areas are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the MMDA said the Manila Water Company will implement a one-lane enclosure along C-5 Southbound starting at 10 p.m. on Friday for pavement restoration works. It said the lane will be open by 4 a.m. on Monday. — Joseph Tristan Roxas/RSJ, GMA News
