Maine Mendoza wins Favorite Pinoy Personality award in  Kids' Choice Awards 2016

Kids have declared Maine Mendoza, the other half of the popular AlDub loveteam of Eat Bulaga, as their "Favorite Pinoy Personality."

The Kalyeserye sweetheart could not attend to receive her award at the Nickelodeon's 29th Annual Kids' Choice Awards last Saturday in California.

She thanked her fans through a recorded video.

“Thank you everyone for voting for me. This is such an honor. I would really love to hold this trophy right now, but since I'm on vacation, maybe this will do... For now. Cool, 'no? I love you all!” Maine said.

Among the nominees in the category were Enrique Gil, James Reid, and Kathryn Bernardo.

Meanwhile, Filipino basketball player Jeron Teng from De La Salle University won the Favorite Asian Sports Star award. —ALG, GMA News
