Returning Kapuso Rayver Cruz began career at GMA-7

Rayver Cruz is returning to GMA-7.

The hunky heartthrob actually began his career with the Kapuso Network, first as a kiddie reporter in 5 and Up alongside Chynna Ortaleza, Atom Araullo and his brother Rodjun.

He was also part of the Joey De Leon sitcom "Kiss Muna" back in 2000.

And now, Rayver comes back to where he belongs.

How did he end up back at the Kapuso network?

"Basta mahaba yung proseso pero nung napag-desisyunan na namin excited din ako kasi nga it's a new beginning for me," Rayver told Nelson Canlas in a Chika Minute report for 24 Oras on Wednesday.

"Fresh start and I'm open sa mga bagong challenges na gagawin ko sa GMA. So just excited."

Did the fact that both his brother Rodjun and his close friend Janine Gutierrez are with the network affect his decision?

"Nagkataon lang din. Nagkataon lang din. Before ko pa ma-meet si Janine, maging close, makilala nandu'n naman na 'yung option na lumipat," Rayver said.

Aside from his sweet dance skills, Rayver is also looking forward to show off his acting chops.

"Excited na akong mag-drama and 'yung mga challenging na roles na alam kong pag-aralan mabuti so nakaka-excite lang," he said.

When asked who he wants to star with, Rayver had a ready answer.

"Of course, Marian (Rivera). Bakit si Marian? Kasi noon pa lang nanonood na ako ng MariMar haha. So 'yun. Of course sila Dingdong (Dantes), Jennylyn (Mercado), Heart (Evangelista), of course kapatid ko si Rodjun and siyempre si Janine." —JST, GMA News
