Cinemalaya’s short film festival and competition is going online

Cinemalaya is set to hold an online short film festival this August.

Event organizers made the announcement as large gatherings were still being discouraged due to the current coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in the country.

The Cinemalaya Online Short Film Festival and Competition is slated for August 14-23, 2020, but organizers had yet to provide further details on the online event.

Mall cinemas and theaters were among businesses that stopped operating in line with lockdown restrictions and social distancing measures recommended to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The official lineup and viewing details for the short film festival have yet to be announced, but it looks like Cinemalaya still intends to show this year's entries for viewers to appreciate.
