Kakaibang performance ni Rhian Ramos sa 'LaLola'

MANILA, Philippines – With the GMA Telebabad sleeper hit, "LaLola," in full swing, bisitahin at kumustahin naman natin ang leading lady nito na si Rhian Ramos. Ang kanyang double portrayal of both the personality of Lalo in the body of the pretty Lola ay matuturing na biggest break for this young actress, thus far. Ang set ng La Lola was, as usual, teeming with activity nang bisitahin ng iGMA.TV. Among the powerhouse cast was the beautful Rhian Ramos, just fresh from a take and ever ready to move on to the next. It was during one of these breaks between takes when we got the chance na makipag-kwentuhan sa kanya. Siyempre, kinumusta namin ang kanyang pag-depict sa kanyang character, considering that the prime time telenovela has been running for three months now. "Oo, ibang-iba, I've never played anyone like this," kuwento ni Rhian. "Firstly, it's always been a dream of mine to play a girl na parang tomboy. It's just always been something I've wanted to do and never got the chance either, you know, it's like for one reason or another, because, I'm maputi. I don't know, or maybe people are used to me playing a certain role and I somewhat got, not really naman typecast, pero you know for a while there, medyo ganoon." Hindi madali maging babae! Nakakuha din kami ng kaunting hints at teasers from Rhian as to what the flow of the story would be in "LaLola", as well as ang mga inner workings ng ating mga minamahal na characters sa istorya: "'Yung mga highlights naman talaga of the story is, number one you know there's always the question kung mananatili siyang babae o babalik siya sa pagiging lalaki, kasi conflict pa rin 'yun hanggang sa pinaka-dulo kasi hindi naman talaga ganoon kadali maging babae, hello! Represent! (Laughs) "Hindi naman talaga ganoon kadali maging babae so ano, pagkatapos I mean, Lalo wasn't just any kind of guy eh. He was an irresponsible guy, so you know that would make life easier talaga. As a girl, hindi niya kayang magawa 'yun, kasi bumaba na 'yung tingin sa kanya ng pamilya niya, ganoon, so talagang nahihirapan siya. So hanggang ngayon conflict pa rin 'yun sa kanya, question pa rin kung babalik siya or, is love worth it? Is love worth enduring the hardship of, ano, being a girl?" Without Rhian revealing anything significant, we can just try to read between the lines and wait in anticipation for the next episode to run. At siguradong kaabang-abang ang mga susunod na eksena since, we have learned first-hand how much effort Rhian, her cast mates, and the production crew have poured into making another prime time hit such as this. Connecting with the viewers Rhian is obviously thankful to those that matter – La Lola's audience. "Gusto ko lang talaga magpasalamat sa lahat ng sumuporta, at sa lahat ng nagbigay ng chance sa "LaLola" to entertain them every night. Kasi naman siguro sa lahat ng shows, before watching it, iisipin mo muna, 'Hmm, ganda ba 'to?' Gusto ko man lang magpasalamat sa lahat ng nag-on ng TV, from the first night, the first week until now, they gave it a chance [for us] to touch them the way we wanted to touch them. "Sana lang talaga na-enjoy nila kasi 'yun lang naman talaga 'yung gusto namin. We work very hard para ma-enjoy ng lahat 'yung product na ginagawa namin at 'tsaka ano, talagang we try our best na gawing totoo 'yung nakikita nila. Like kahit hindi naman ako lalaki, sinubukan ko! Parang ganoon, so sana talaga na-enjoy nila at 'tsaka sana magkaroon ako ng ganito pang chance sa future, para magkaroon ng ganitong connection ulit sa audience," ang kanyang sabi, in parting.
