Francis Magalona finally laid to rest in Marikina

MANILA, Philippines - Master Rapper Francis Magalona was finally laid to rest Wednesday noon in Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. During the interment, Francis' wife Pia Arroyo Magalona remained a tower of strength as she thanked the people who extended their support amid her husband's demise. "Thank you very much for your support, I appreciate it," she said. Magalona's widow was accompanied by her eight children and close friends in paying their last respects to the King of Pinoy Rap. Aside from their relatives, Francis' colleagues in Eat Bulaga! - Joey de Leon, Vic Sotto, Pia Guanio, Lougee Basabas, Toni Rose Gayda, Anjo Yllana, and Wally Bayola - were present at the burial rite. Francis' close friends Michael V and Ogie Alcasid were also present. Before the interment, a mass was held for the Master Rapper at the Christ the King Memorial Chapel in Green Meadows in Quezon City. Magalona passed away last Friday due to acute myelogenous leukemia.
