iGMA: Cherie Gil on working with Geoff: ‘Wala lang sampalan, hindi ko kaya’

Cherie Gil reveals how she feels about working with her nephew and inaanak Geoff Eigenmann for the first time in GMA 7's Grazilda. Balik-telebisyon ang kinikilalang isa pinakamahusay na kontrabida in Philippine showbiz na si Ms. Cherie Gil sa hit primetime show na Grazilda, and she’s very happy to be back at work and to be working at GMA. “I’m happy, because finally I’m getting to meet more new actresses. I still have to remember their names," she jokes. Ito ang kanyang first time na makatrabaho si Geoff, who is also her godson. Geoff plays the role of Grazilda’s modern prince charming sa real world – si Eric. “Makakasama ko ngayon si Geoff. If they can’t come to me, I go to them," she said. How does she feel about the possibility of hurting Geoff on-cam dahil ito ang magtatanggol kay Grazilda? “Mukhang kami pala ni Geoff ang magkakaaway. Wala lang sampalan, hindi ko kaya. I don’t think I can slap his face. He’s so cute, he’s my inaanak also." Dagdag pa niya, “Parang hindi. Hindi ko kaya. That’ll be the first time I’ll have to slap a kamag-anak, if ever." Samantala, Cherie reveals that while her own children are not as keen on entering showbiz as her nephews and nieces, she is very proud of the Eigenmanns that are in showbiz today para sa kanilang mga achievements. “I’m so proud of them, really really proud of them. On their own they found their niche," pahayag niya, after which she goes on to describe her nephews and nieces. Sa tanong kung paano niya idi-describe si Geoff, Ms Cherie replied: “Geoff’s the ‘boy next door’ leading man."
