Lolit warns Gretchen: Stop remarks vs Lani

Lolit Solis, talent manager of Bong Revilla, warned Gretchen Barretto that she would be forced to reveal still unknown facts behind the controversy-wracked 1994 Manila Film Festival if the actress did not stop making remarks against the actor-senator and his wife Lani Mercado, the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) reported on Monday. PEP said in its website that Lolit spoke over the phone on Sunday while she was waiting for her flight back to the Philippines at the Los Angeles airport. Lolit said Gretchen called her cellular phone several times on Sunday early morning (Sunday evening in Manila), which she did not answer, after branding the actress over a television showbiz talk show as “fatally attracted" to Bong. Gretchen has admitted to having had an affair with Bong for a few months in 1990 when he was already married to Lani. Gretchen was actually the whistle-blower in the film festival scandal about 13 years ago, when she witnessed her co-presenters for the best actress award announce a different winner than the official result in the balloting. Her co-presenters announced the winner as Ruffa Gutierrez – who has now become one of Gretchen’s best friends. Lolit was then Ruffa’s talent manager. Gretchen’s recent spat with Lani started after the latter commented that her Christmas wish was for the former to have a “marriage" with Tonyboy, who has lived with the actress but was previously married. Gretchen retorted that all she needed was the ceremony of a “wedding" with TonyBoy. She also shot back that Bong and Lani did not have a “marriage" because the actor-senator was not faithful. At one point, when Lani commented that she has six beautiful children with Bong, Gretchen remarked that the actor-senator actually has “seven" children. Bong has appealed to the major broadcast networks to stop covering the spat betweem Gretchen and his wife. Voters in 2004 gave Bong a six-year term as senator. -GMANews.TV
