Max Collins gears up for a challenging lead role in 'Innamorata'

The long wait is finally over for Kapuso actress Max Collins as she is set to star in the upcoming series Innamorata. Aside from having her first lead role sa Afternoon Prime, makakapareha niya rito ang Kapuso actor na si Luis Alandy sa unang pagkakataon.

Completing the cast are her co-Bubble Gang Bubblettes Jackie Rice and Gwen Zamora, kasama rin sina Dion Ignacio, Ralph Fernandez, Rita Avila, and Michael de Mesa.

Unang napanood si Max sa Kapuso network sa programang The Good Daughter bilang best friend ng bidang si Kylie Padilla. Nasundan ito ng Philippine version ng Coffee Prince where she played the role of Arlene Manahan. Naging leading lady din siya ni Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes sa teleseryeng Pahiram ng Sandali. She also had a short stint in the morning series With A Smile as Mikael Daez's childhood friend Patricia.

All smiles ang mestiza actress nang makapanayam ng press during the show's story conference last January 6. Max admits that even if she is excited to play her dream role, she also feels the pressure of headlining a teleserye.

"The whole role is a challenge. Kinakabahan talaga ako but happy ako sa role. It's a role that any girl would want to play kaya sobrang thankful ako, and I'm preparing myself because it's not an easy role," she shares.

She also hinted on what viewers can expect from Innamorata. "Maraming pagsubok ang dadaanan ng character ko, and sobra siyang hopeful at the same time, kaya mahirap din i-portray 'yun." She concluded na dapat abangan ang pagbabago ng kanyang character pagkatapos ng mga pagsubok na pagdaraanan ni Esperanza.

Max currently appears in Bubble Gang every Friday and Sunday All Stars every Sunday. Catch her as Esperanza in Innamorata, coming this February on GMA Afternoon Prime. -- Michelle Caligan/Bochic Estrada, GMANetwork.com
