Billy Crawford apologizes to police officers, fans: 'It was my fault'

Television host Billy Crawford broke his silence over his detention early Sunday morning, admitting that the incident at a police precinct in Taguig that led to his arrest was his fault.

"It was my fault pero wala akong nasaktan, wala akong tinulak, wala akong tinamaan kundi 'yung salamin," he said in a radio interview, denying earlier reports that he was involved in a physical altercation with a police desk officer.

In the same interview, Crawford apologized to police officers and fans for the incident.

Crawford was detained at Taguig Police Headquarters after allegedly causing a scene at Police Community Precinct 7.

According to police reports, Crawford arrived at the station shouting and asking to be jailed. He also damaged a sliding glass door at the station after kicking it.

A report by Katrina Son on "Balitanghali" said that Crawford was brought to Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, where he is expected to undergo drug and liquor testing. — JST, GMA News
