Dingdong paid for the wedding, says wedding coordinator

"Dingdong paid for the wedding. And it was not a cheap wedding."

This was the statement of Teena Barretto, wedding coordinator of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, on an Instagram post.

"To end all speculation and wrong assumptions, I will set the record
straight," she said.

"While some sponsors were graciously accepted, most were politely declined," she added.

Teena said the amount of sponsorship or xdeal for the Wedding of the Year is "not even 5 percent of the total wedding cost paid by the groom, Given that, one can say that yes, indeed they paid for their wedding."

She said high quality wine brand Hennessy is not part of the mix for the wedding.

"We didn't even serve that brand," she added.

Teena said Goldilocks was endorsed by Dingdong, so the wedding cake was "really a gift from Goldilocks."

"There were suppliers that were taken out in certain areas days before the wedding. Suppliers that went onboard at the last minute were likewise paid in full," she said.

"While we are thankful to those who were very generous with their products and services, I still feel it is unfair that the couple is being bashed this way for something so beautiful, and most importantly, something they worked so hard for," she said,

"Dingdong had the purest intention of giving Marian the best wedding she deserves," she assured.

She also dared: "To those with very strong opinion/s re the matter, you may start by posting your name beside your two cents. It's very hard to trust the words of brave people hiding behind the anonymous monicker."

"I am and will always be the most reliable source of information about this wedding," Teena said.

"Happy new year to all! Positivity comes with the truth. Sending positive vibes to everyone!" she added.
