Maine Mendoza wins MMFF's Best Supporting Actress-award


Maine Mendoza, aka Yaya Dub, won the Metro Manila Film Festival's best supporting actress prize during Sunday's awards night at the Kia Theater in Quezon City.

Mendoza starred in the romantic comedy "My Bebe Love", which received the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award during Sunday night's event.

"My Bebe Love" had earned P112,600,761.73 as of December 26, GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend" reported on Sunday.

Meanwhile, "Walang Forever" was recognized as the festival's Best Picture, while it's stars, Jericho Rosales and Jennylyn Mercado were recognized as Best Actor and Best Actress.

"Honor Thy Father" won two awards: Erik Matti was Best Director, and and Triso Cruz III was Best Supporting Actor. — DVM, GMA News
