CHR's Gascon wants Ian Veneracion to portray him in biopic, Willie Revillame as Duterte

Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Chairperson Jose Luis "Chito" Gascon on Saturday said he would want Ian Veneracion to play his role if a movie about him would be created.

"Someone recently described me as a "happy warrior," and I like that portrayal. If my were to be made a movie, which would be boring, still, I would want Ian Veneracion, as some people say I look like him. Or he looks like me," Gascon said in his "Ask Me Anything" thread on Reddit.

Gascon, meanwhile, said he prefers Revillame to play President Rodrigo Duterte in the biopic.

The CHR chairperson has been a subject of one of Duterte's tirade for being critical of the administration's bloody war on drugs.

If former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is included in the biopic, Gascon said he would want the character to be played by  Robin Padilla.

While there is no mention of a female lead, Gascon admitted in a separate thread that his ultimate crush in showbiz is Maja Salvador.

His crush in politics is Senator Risa Hontiveros, he added. —ALG, GMA News
