Janno Gibbs comes out with `Little Boy'

More mature, more sincere, this is the best way to describe Janno Gibb’s second album under GMA Records entitled, Little Boy. The experts call it the Peter Pan Syndrome. When grown men cannot seem to let go of their boyhood qualities and dreams. Comedian, singer, host, Janno Gibbs admits to being young at heart. “I’m still a little boy." He stated with his signature mischievous smile. The title track Little Boy is the song that the King of Soul wrote to describe himself. “I was trying to explain myself, what I am inside." You might think I’m strong but at the end of the day, I still pray at night He shares the story behind the lines, “marami na akong pinagdaanan. You might think I’m strong [but] mayroon pa rin akong mga frustrations. Mayroon doon na line na ‘coz my mind has grown but my heart stays the same." With these lyrics as an example, it is safe to say that this is his most personal album to date. This is his eighth release as a recording artist. He co-produced the album and wrote seven songs. Janno is proud to say, “siguro mga 80% ako iyong gumawa." Straight From the Heart His life as a recording artist is one that he takes to heart. He does not create songs just to please others or to sell many copies. He states emphatically “Ang unang-unang goal ko when I make an album is to be proud of the product, personally proud of the product. Iyon ang pinaka-goal ko hindi iyong maghi-hit ba ito or just to sell. Hindi ako sellout kung baga." Among all the melodies he made for this album though, his most favorites are the ones he wrote for his family. You are to me is the song he lovingly composed for his two daughters, Alyssa and Gabby. “[It’s] how I feel about them. Basically, they’re my life. Sila talaga iyong, that’s it! Iyon na iyong buhay ko, work and the kids." Meanwhile, Ikaw lang at ako is an ode for his wife, Bing Loyzaga. “Iyong song ko for Bing is ano, ah, is actually just to make up for a lot! He admits with a laugh. Then adds, “It’s a celebration of how long we’ve been together." - iGMA.tv
