‘King Arthur’ stars Jude Law, Charlie Hunnam say ‘mabuhay’ to PHL fans

"King Arthur" stars Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law shot a short promo inviting Philippine audiences to see the film next month.

The old familiar tale about the legendary king of Camelot will be getting a new treatment from visionary director Guy Ritchie. In this version, Arthur (played by “Pacific Rim” and “Sons of Anarchy” star Hunnam) isn’t quite king yet and runs with a gang in Londinium until he discovers his royal lineage.

Forced to embrace his destiny and seek revenge against the man who killed his parents, Arthur unites with the Resistance and gets involved with a beautiful girl named Guinevere—who shows him the courage and strength to master the sword Excalibur and defeat the evil Vortigern once and for all.

The cast of "King Arthur"—Hunnam and Law are accompanied by Djimon Hounsou, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Aidan Gillen, and Eric Bana—is as talented as they are diverse, playing important roles that are central in bringing a new version of the legendary British king’s origins to the big screen.

"King Arthur" opens in theaters in the Philippines on May 17. — BM, GMA News
