The ‘Baywatch’ ladies give viewers something to look forward to
Fans of the beach will be eager to check out what’s in theaters later this month: Paramount Pictures' “Baywatch,” based on the 90’s television series of the same name.
Directed by Seth Gordon, the action-comedy flick stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron as the veteran and the rookie of the team who clash and can’t seem to get along.
Besides the guys, the Emerald Bay lifeguard group also includes women, who are just too beautiful and stand out as eye-catching talents for this film.
Actresses Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rorhbach, and Ilfenesh Hadera star as the aspiring and dedicated lifeguards of the Baywatch team, ready to take on any emergency or danger that may happen in the beach or waters nearby.
Daddario, who co-starred with Dwayne Johnson in the disaster movie “San Andreas”, plays Summer Quinn, who gives Zac Efron’s Matt Brody a run for his money in the film. “It was exciting to read a script with strong, distinct characters with their own personalities,” says Daddario in press materials provided by the film. “I appreciated that every character gets an opportunity to be badass in their own way.”
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kelly Rorhbach plays C.J. Parker—the role played on the TV show by Pamela Anderson.
“My sisters think it’s hilarious, because 'Baywatch' was the only thing we watched growing up,” Rohrbach recounts. “One of my earliest memories is sucking my thumb and watching Baywatch. It’s such an iconic piece of pop culture. Everybody has a memory attached to it in one way or another, and I loved the script’s cheeky take on the series.”

Ilfenesh Hadera plays Stephanie Holden, the second-in-command to Dwayne Johnson’s Mitch Buchannon. “If Mitch is the group’s father figure, Stephanie would be their mom,” says Hadera. “She’s a little older, wiser and there to crack the whip, but also takes the less experienced lifeguards under her wing.”
