NBA: Rondo to Sacramento? Relax Celtics fans, it's a hoax
Boston Celtics fans were shocked to discover that star point guard Rajon Rondo had been sent to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Tyreke Evans and the number five overall draft pick early this morning. Good thing for them, the trade was being reported by a Chris Brousard on Twitter, and not ESPN's Chris Broussard (with two s's). The parody account fooled many and the tweet in question quickly garnered more than a thousand retweets from shocked Boston fanatics.
In fact, so many people were taking it as actual news that the real Chris Broussard, ESPN sportswriter, had to send out a clarification on his own account, warning people of the impostor tweeter. The Celtics have traded Rajon Rondo, the #21 and #22 picks to the Kings, in exchange for Tyrke Evans and the #5 pick, per league source.

Chris Brousard, the parody account, has in the past also tweeted out several fictitious trades, including a Ray Allen to New York Knicks deal, a swap that sends Andre Iguodala to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the #8 pick, and a Pau Gasol for the #2 overall pick rumor involving the Lakers big man and the Charlotte Bobcats. This is the first tweet that really fooled a large number of people however, with previous "fakes" registering less than 50 retweets. There's a Chris BROUSARD posting fake stuff....my name is spelled with two SS's not one....ignore it
