NBA: Without Deng, Bulls fall to Grizzlies in OT

The Chicago Bulls relied on a 29-16 run in the fourth to force overtime, but it was not enough as they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, 85-82, Saturday (Sunday, PHL time).

Memphis found themselves up one after a Marc Gasol jumper with 34 seconds to go in the fourth, 78-75, before Marco Belinelli tied it up with a split on the line. Neither team converted in the final 30 seconds to send the game into overtime.

In the extra period, three straight hits by Zach Randolph and Gasol had Memphis up six, 82-76, at the 2:58 mark. Layups from Belinelli and Jimmy Butler cut the lead to three with 53 seconds to go, but two misses from Nate Robinson had the Grizzlies escaping with the victory.

Gasol led Memphis with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Rudy Gay added 16 and eight of his own. Mike Conley had 13, but it was Zach Randolph's 13 points and 19 rebounds that made the difference for the visiting team.

With Luol Deng sidelined by an injury, Chicago leaned on Carlos Boozer and Jimmy Butler for most of the points. The two combined for 35 points and 22 rebounds in the loss. - RAF, GMA News
