NBA: Phil Jackson joins Twitter
11-time NBA champion head coach Phil Jackson has joined the ranks of Twitter. Jackson, who piloted the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers to multiple NBA titles, joined the social networking site Wednesday (Thursday, PHL time), using the username @PhilJackson11, in reference to the number of championships he amassed.
In just over two hours, Jackson has already accumulated nearly 70,000 followers, though he has not followed anyone yet. Please welcome Phil Jackson to twitter @philjackson11

Jackson's first tweet seems like a gaffe though, sending out, "11 champ;ipnsikp[ ringhs," as misspelling of "11 championship rings." Despite that, the message has already garnered more than 11,000 retweets and nearly 5,000 favorites.11 champ;ipnsikp[ ringhs

However, ESPNLA.com beat writer Dave McMenamin has reported that this was intentional, and that Jackson would later send out a video showing him composing the message while wearing all 11 championship rings.Heard that PJax's first tweet was an intentional blunder. There is a video to follow with him having trouble typing with rings on

One former player, Dennis Rodman, took time out to reply to his former coach's message along the same lines, saying, "Love you Phil, but you gotta take off your 11 rings when you're typing." Last January, one of Jackson's more famous players, Kobe Bryant, also joined Twitter. - AMD, GMA News.@philjackson11 Love you Phil, but you gotta take off your 11 rings when you're typing.
