NBA: LeBron James to visit Manila

Four-time NBA MVP and two-time NBA champion LeBron James is headed for Manila.

Nike Philippines will bring James over for a one-day promotional visit on July 23, according to a press release, to "inspire the Filipino youth and aspiring basketball athletes to embark on their own pursuit of greatness."

James this past season averaged 26.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.7 steals as a member of the defending champions Miami Heat.

In addition to James, the country will also play host to Houston Rocket James Harden and New Orleans Pelican Eric Gordon late in July, for the NBA 3X Philippines 2013, and Derrick Rose in September. Then in October, the entire Houston Rockets squad takes on the Indiana Pacers in a preseason exhibition game at the MOA Arena. - GMA News
