Turns out Manny Pacquiao isn't the only celebrity planning on making waves in the basketball court.

Teen actor Daniel Padilla was drafted into the PBA Developmental League on Monday, with the expansion team AMA Computer University Titans making him the last overall pick in the 15th round.

Padilla, who is known as a basketball enthusiast, could now be included in the lineup for the squad for the upcoming PBA D-League Aspirant's Cup.

The popular heartthrob is an endorser of the school, appearing in commercials and other promotional events for AMA.

According to reports, Padilla is also a student at the school, making him eligible to be drafted.

Moala Tattuaa, a Filipino-Tongan center currently playing for the Wesports Malaysia Dragons in the ASEAN Basketball League, was selected first by Cagayan Valley.

Ateneo high-flyer Chris Newsome was picked second by Tanduay Light, while La Salle big men Arnold Van Opstal and Norbert Torres went back-to-back at No. 3 and No. 4 to Cafe France and Cebuana Lhuillier, respectively. — JST, GMA News
