PBA fans felt sorry for Barangay Ginebra's Asian import Sanchir Tungalag who got benched for the whole game against Talk 'N Text on Sunday.

The Mongolian star debuted with eight points in 13 minutes in his debut against Alaska on Friday, but he only shot 1-of-6 attempts from the field and committed three turnovers.

His shaky performance could have been a factor for his lack playing time against the Tropang Texters, but Gin Kings' coach Frankie Lim refused to talk to reporters as he left the Araneta Coliseum to explain his decision.

Tungalag's interpreter Bold also declined to give an interview after the game, saying that the comments might be perceived in a negative light.

He said, however, that wingman is perfectly healthy and not suffering from any injuries.

Local basketball fans turned to twitter to express their sympathy for Tungalag, making "Sanchir" a trending topic after the game.
Some fans who watched the game on television also noted how the Mongolian was isolated on the bench during timeouts towards the end of the game as the team huddled together. — JDS/JST, GMA News
