NBA draft hopeful Ray Parks caps schedule with workouts for Celtics, Mavs

Two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player Ray Parks is currently in the United States in pursuit of his NBA dream.

The son of late PBA Hall of Fame import Bobby Parks has been making the rounds working out for different squads, capping off his schedule with auditions for the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics this week.

"Past few days,i've been traveling like crazy but it is such a blessing to be able to have the opportunity to workout in front of these teams.Dallas is such a great organization, had a great workout, and a great city.Definitely one for the books," he wrote in an Instagram post with a photo of the Mavericks' training facility.

He also posted a photo of the Celtics facility, writing: "Truly so much history that goes into the Boston Celtics franchise.Thank you for the opportunity."

Last week, Parks also had the opportunity to strut his stuff before officials of the Utah Jazz and the Brooklyn Nets, where he received a wayward elbow that caused a cut between his eyebrows that required seven stitches to close.

Parks was a top high school prospect in the United States before choosing to spend his collegiate career in the Philippines. He won the UAAP's top plum twice, but was unable to lead National University to the finals.

In the past, Parks has said that he plans to chase his NBA dream in honor of his father, the legendary PBA reinforcement who succumbed to cancer in 2013.

The NBA draft will be held in New York City on Thursday (Friday morning PHL time). —JST, GMA News
