Ayo emotional after first win as Tigers head coach: ‘Para sa UST community ito’
It seems like things are turning around for the UST Growling Tigers.
Last season, the España-based squad needed to wait until their last game in the tournament to make it to the win column. On Wednesday afternoon, after last Saturday's defeat at the hands of the NU Bulldogs, the Tigers registered their first win of the new UAAP season with a 76-74 win against the FEU Tamaraws.
Asked about his thoughts about their win, UST head coach Aldin Ayo simply said, "We played well."
However, the man behind the "Mayhem" turned emotional when asked about delivering their first win only on his second game.
"Deserving ang UST community kasi, naramdaman ko si Coach Boy [Sablan, former UST head coach], naramdaman ko 'yung community. Pare, they deserve this. Kasi grabe ang suporta eh," Ayo said.

Ayo also assured the UST community that this is just the beginning. "I know it's too early, hindi kami makokontento rito pero, the community deserves this kasi grabe ang suporta," he said.
