‘Hawaiian Punch’ Brian Viloria wins vs. Cartagena

Former two-division world champion Brian Viloria, dubbed the "Hawaiian Punch", won against American Miguel Cartagena in the "Superfly" card at the StubHub Center in Carson, California on Saturday.

According to a report on Unang Balita on Wednesday, it was a fierce fight as the 113.4-pound Viloria repeatedly punched the 113.6-pound Cartagena on the fifth round and the American could not retaliate.

The referee had to stop the fight.

As a result, Viloria won via technical knockout.

The Hawaiian Punch now has 38 wins and five losses in his record.

Viloria, 36, took some time away from boxing after being released from his promotional contract with Top Rank.

He returned to the ring on March 2 and won against Ruben Montoya in an eight-round unanimous decision. —KG, GMA News
